María Rivas
Architecture, Artist
Cordoba, Spain

María Rivas (Córdoba) is an architect who graduated in 2016 from ETSA at the University of Seville and ETSAV at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Thanks to her academic record, she received several scholarships that allowed her to begin her professional experience in the field of architecture. In 2017, through the Elmer scholarship, she collaborated with Miguel Marcelino’s studio in Lisbon. From 2018 to 2020, she worked at Büro urbane prozesse in Berlin.

Based in Seville since 2020, she has been working as a freelance professional, collaborating with various teams in architecture, urban planning, and landscape design. In recent years, she has also worked alongside Eugenio Rivas on projects that blur disciplinary boundaries, aiming for a more complex interaction with the territory.

Her experience so far has led her to understand architecture in an increasingly open way—one where cultural, environmental, and the most essential social needs must take center stage.
