She studied at the Polytechnic University of Turin where she graduated with honours in 1985. She went on to study Fine Arts and a architecture master’s degree in Paris. It was in this city that she became interested in acquiring photography, although she became interested in ‘moving art’ soon, which includes video performances, video art,… In her activity as a collector she has focused above all on video, and some of her works have been part of exhibitions at the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo in Móstoles and at the Museo Lázaro Galdiano. Particularly her pieces maintain a thematic nexus around space, its use, its occupation, or its construction (architecture). Teresa Sapey is also a member of the 9915 Association and the board of trustees of the Prado Museum.
