Plastic Artist from the Instituto de Bellas Artes (2002) and Historian from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia (2016); academic exchange Faculty of Philosophy, University of Barcelona (2012). Co-founder and member of Taller 7 (2003-2018) and Policéfalo Films (since 2017). He has received several scholarships and distinctions among which are reviewed: Winner XII Luis Caballero Award, IDARTES, Bogotá (2024); Nominated Juan Downey International Competition, 16 Biennial of Medial Arts, CCHV, Santiago de Chile (2023); Creation Scholarship for Long-Trajectory Artist, Mayor of Medellín (2014 and 2017); Creation Scholarship in Public Art, Mayor of Medellín (2015); Honorable Mention award for New Artistic Practices in Visual Arts, as a member of Taller 7, MinCultura (2011-2014). He has completed artistic residencies at Cometa + Coleção Moraes-Barbosa, São Paulo, Brazil (2023); Eighth, Critical Institute for Arts and Politics and FaveLab, Athens, Greece (2019); Hangar, Barcelona (2015); International Circulation Grant, MinCultura; Capacete, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte (2011).
As producer and screenwriter of the documentary Estancia by director Andrés Carmona Rivera, it was part of the Official Selection of FICCI 63, Cartagena, Colombia and 15 Al Este Festival, Lima, Peru where it received the award for Best Film in the Vidas Cruzadas Competition; 23 EDOC Festival, Quito, Ecuador; 4 Cinemancia Festival, Medellín, Colombia; 10 Villa del Cine, Villa de Leyva, Colombia (Honorable Mention in the Best First Film Competition); 26 MIDBO, Bogotá, Colombia; 6 FILCMAR, Marinilla, Colombia (Honorable Mention in the Best First Film Competition); 10 Villa del Cine, Villa de Leyva, Colombia (Honorable Mention Best First Film Competition); 26 MIDBO, Bogota, Colombia; 6 FILCMAR, Marinilla, Colombia; 3 Mostra de Cinema Colombià de Barcelona, Alados, Filmoteca de Catalunya; 10 Festival de Cine de las Alturas, San Salvador de Jujuy, Argentina; 7 Festival Render, Peru.
