Kaya & Blank
Artist, Multimedia
Turkey / Germany

Kaya & Blank are lens-based media artists whose work explores how humans shape and inhabit the world, with a particular focus on the intersections between infrastructure, ecology, and systems of power. Their practice reflects on the environmental and political dimensions of contemporary life, tracing how neoliberal economies shape the built environment and how humanity’s dominance over nature manifests itself in everyday architecture.

Often centering overlooked or hidden infrastructures—such as energy extraction sites, globalized transportation infrastructures, or telecommunications networks—their work renders visible the architectures that sustain modern life but remain largely unseen. Through this lens, they explore the environmental cost and political implications of systems designed for perpetual growth and 24/7 availability.
