A/r/tographer, PhD in Fine Arts and Associate Professor at the University of Granada. He complemented his studies at the International School of Film and Television in San Antonio de los Baños, Havana (Cuba), with a scholarship granted by the City Council of Córdoba in 2007.

His line of research focuses on the methodological study of the audiovisual essay within educational and research contexts in the Arts. Since 2010, he has developed a dissemination and curatorial practice linked to these investigations, with international projects in the field of contemporary audiovisuals such as: the International Exhibition of A/r/tographic Video-Narration (2014–2024), the Ultramar International Video Series (2014–2018), and Project Circo Cuba (Havana, 2010–2011), among others.

His artistic work has been exhibited since 1999 in numerous institutional and private art venues, both nationally and internationally. Among the many audiovisual exhibitions he has participated in are: All That I Loved Was Part of You (2007–2010), curated by Nekane Araburu for the Cervantes Institute, with tour stops in Dublin, Damascus, and Brussels; and his participation in internationally renowned festivals such as: Imagen Play (Portugal, 2020); Proyector’19 (Madrid, 2019); Lisbon Film Rendezvous (Portugal, 2019); inCINEración (Spain, 2019); Videoraymi (Peru, 2018, 2014, 2012); InShadow (Lisbon, 2011); Óptica Festival (2009 and 2011); and Videoartfestival 100 KUBIK (2011).

In 2017, he presented his first experimental feature film titled Tote Hasen, Ulysses’ Wind (www.totehasen.es), premiered in the Opera Prima program of the Provincial Council of Granada and at the Andalusian Film Archive in Córdoba. He has also received several awards and mentions throughout his career, including: the Gilabert Prize from the Provincial Council of Almería (2008); the prestigious Emilio Ollero Painting Prize from the Provincial Council of Jaén (2006); and the Alonso Cano Awards from the University of Granada (2001, 2002).
