Gabriela Martí is the director of RIZOMA, International Film & Culture Festival Entrelazada in Madrid, which has been held since 2010. As programmer, she selects new international premieres and discoveries of new Spanish cinema, as well as musical, artistic and didactic programming. At the same time, she is responsible for attracting major filmmakers to the festival, such as David Lynch, John Waters and Kelly Reichardt.
Outside RIZOMA, she has developed, made or produced work for La Sexta in Spain, Paramount Pictures in Germany and France, Amazon Studios in Dublin, National Geographic in Peru and Bangkok and The History Channel in New York. As a filmmaker, her first feature documentary, 20 AÑOS AMANECIENDO QUE NO ES POCO, was commissioned by José Luis de Cuerda and her first short fiction film (FIN) received several international awards before being broadcast on Canal + (Spain), PBS (USA) and IFC-Independent Film Channel (USA). He was born in Sharon, Connecticut (USA) and has always lived between Spain and the United States.
