Amaya Hernández is a visual artist and teacher. She was born in Madrid, where she currently resides. She has a PhD in Fine Arts, a degree in Film Cinematography and a Master’s in Photography. During her career, she has received awards and grants such as:
Generations of Caja Madrid, the Bancaja Digital Art Award, the INJUVE Award, Plastic Arts Circuits of the Community of Madrid and the grants for Creation in the Visual Arts of the Community and the Madrid City Council, among others.
Her work has been seen in institutions and museums such as: La Casa Encendida, the Círculo de Bellas Artes, the Conde Duque Cultural Center, the IVAM (Valencia) and the MAC (A Coruña).
She has participated in international festivals such as the Guadalajara International Book Festival in Mexico (FIL) and the International Video Art Festival «Now & After» in Moscow. Her work can be found in the Art Collection of the Centro de Arte Dos de Mayo, CA2M, in the Bancaja Foundation and the Montemadrid Foundation, among others.
