Yese Astarloa (Monte Caseros, Corrientes; 1991)
Visual artist, Master’s in Arts from UC3M at SUR Escuela del Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid (Spain) through an Acciona Scholarship, Bachelor’s and Teaching degree in Fine Arts from FDA UNLP (Arg.). Teacher at the Faculty of Arts of the National University of La Plata (Arg.). Coordinated Digital Poetics at the UNLP Art Center, where she also was part of the staff for K52 Punto de Fuga Bienal Sur.
She has participated in various competitions and has been awarded prizes and scholarships, including: European Alliance of Academies (2023), Jury Mention at the National Visual Arts Salon 2022, Jury Mention at the Visual Arts Salon of the Osde Foundation 2021, Acquisition Prize Chamber of Deputies at the Young Art Salon Museum of Fine Arts E.P. 2020, Jury Mention Young Printmakers Award 2020, PAR Scholarship 2020, et al. Since 2014, she has participated in national and international exhibitions and residencies such as: Madrid Design Festival at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, Navelart Madrid, Visual Arts Salon Fundación Itaú 2023, Molina Campos Salon at the Emilio Pettoruti Museum, Cruce Madrid, Cal Gras Residency (Avinyó, Spain) with Santiago Colombo Migliorero, Artist Residency at Teatro Argentino, Next Museum (Germany), Guerrilla Cartography (USA), Acéfala Gallery, Videobardo International at CC San Martín, Play Videoarte UNNE, among others.
Her research and body of work aim to highlight the confluence between art and technology and to problematise the technical environment of which they are part. She lives and works between Argentina and Spain.
