January 1994. Artist, creative, and independent researcher. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (Oct. 2013 – Feb. 2018) and a Master’s in Visual and Multimedia Arts from the Polytechnic University of Valencia (Oct. 2018 – Sep. 2021).
Throughout his career, Sergio has collaborated with various institutions, collectives, and artists on projects focused on urban peripheries, particularly in working-class, marginalized, and underserved neighborhoods. His work centers on questioning and redefining the boundaries of these spaces—exploring how they are shaped and how they might be reimagined. This concern has led him to experiment with and investigate space and its inhabitants through visual media, sound, installations, and other formats.
Sergio has taken part in numerous exhibitions and festivals, both nationally and internationally. Highlights include his participation in the Biennal de València Ciutat Vella Oberta at IVAM (Valencian Institute of Modern Art) in 2019, the Volumens International Festival of Art, Science & Technology in Valencia in 2019, and the Estéticas Expandidas Festival in Pasto (Colombia). He has also received awards in competitions such as the 5th AskatusunArte in the Video Art category and was a winner of the Swatch Creative Natives festival.
