PROYECTOR/ PLATFORM

Is a platform aimed at spreading art, with emphasis on its experimental, contemporary and committed nature. Our aim is to forge relationships with artists, art centers, curators, collectors and professionals in order to offer visibility, educational activities and production skills to creators. The platform includes 5 work points: Festival / LAP / Curatorship / Creation & Restoration of Works / Online Catalog. It has the support of the Ministry of Education and Culture, as well as the Community and the City Council of Madrid, companies and private foundations, embassies, other international festivals and institutional and independent spaces of the city of Madrid.

PROYECTOR/ FESTIVAL

involves around 900 pieces from 800 artists from 70 countries, as well as the curatorial programs and festivals from around the world. Its programming is composed of video installations (single-channel, multichannel, interactive), interventions, projections in the public space, performances, talks, meetings, workshops and conferences. Artists such as Marina Abramovic, Shirin Neshat, Francesc Torres, Gary Hill, Zbigniew Rybczyński, Isidoro Valcárcel Medina, Fernando Sánchez Castillo, Santiago Sierra, Regina José Galindo, Pavel Büchler, Carolee Schneemann, Faycal Baghriche, Hans Breder, Mateo Maté, Yuan Goang-Ming, Andrés Denegri, Anthony McCall, Antoni Muntadas, Candice Breitz, Francis Alÿs, Gusmão / Paiva, Ignasi Aballí, Joan Jonas, José Val del Omar, David Van Tieghem, Rosa Barba, Steve McQueen, Willie Doherty, Nan Hoover, Bruce Nauman, Breda Beban, Eder Santos, Michele Sambin, Robert Cahen, Steina and Woody Vasulka, among many others. Also, the collectors Alfredo Hertzog, Alain Servais, Haro Cumbusyam and Teresa Sapey.

PROYECTOR/ LAP (Laboratories Art PROYECTOR)

From the beginning, we choose projects that reflect on the visual arts and their relationship between the body, the space and the spectator. We are producers, not only of audiovisual content but of something much more valuable: knowledge. Since our founding, we have carried out the Videoart Professional Meetings where we have gathered collectors, gallerists, festivals, fairs, artists and other agents involved in the production, distribution, sale and exhibition of moving images today. As well as Workshops, Talks, Master Classes and Publications where a line of thought articulated a proposal that allowed us to bring this media to expert, amateur or simply curious citizens. We are currently working to promote the previous educational activities in a new and different way: firstly during the festival with the LAPs; another maintained throughout the year directed to art centers for professional public and, finally, one aimed at training centers, intended for students and teachers.

PROYECTOR/ CURATORSHIP

We are a team of artists and cultural managers with a broad and contemporary vision of international moving image. This vision is the result of a training and professional experience consolidated over the years that culminates in the Festival with the organization of different curatorial proposals, corresponding thematic and conceptual axes with artistic spaces (centers, museums and galleries). The content is agile and it adapts to the venue and the context where you can include emerging artists along with those who are more well known.

PROYECTOR/ CREATION AND RESTORATING
  1. Residences. PROYECTOR wants to offer participating artists a space to work and spaces that allow creating new site-specific pieces for our venues, as well as the opportunity to with other artists, curators, curators and the team itself during the duration of the festival, thus creating bonds, work networks and exchanges…El Instante Fundación, Espacio Solo – Onkaos, Medialab Prado, Ranchito Matadero Madrid, A B I E R T O Theredoom and Intercambiador ACART have made possible the discovery of artists such as Maia Navas, Irit Batsry, Márcia Beatriz Granero, Christophe Litou, Magiae Naturalis, Chen Wan-Jen, Chia-Yun Wu, Lien-Chen Wang, Huang I-Hsiang y Amaya Hernández Sigüenza.
  2. Production of new work. Furhermore, we rely on private companies, collectors and embassies that allow the creation of new works.
  3. Restoration of works. Due to the demand of our agreements with collections of institutions and individual collectors, we are offering the restoration and professional archive to our customers, thanks to agreements with professionals and companies with which we collaborated for the last few years.
PROYECTOR/ ONLINE CATALOG

It is a project that aims to propose alternative circuits to the sale, rental, distribution and viewing of moving image, so that a greater number of creators have access to the market, transactions, contacts. Furthermore, we ensure that the public’s needs are met each day. Another important objective is to generate a network public’s needs are met each day. Another important objective is to generate a network advisory structure that includes collectors, galleries, museums and art centers.
