The Balcarce Moving Stone, 2.200 million years old, was discovered by Antonio Lanta\u00f1o in 1962. At that time there were long lines to experience its movement. The rock was forgotten until Pandemia was relocated and activated after 50 years. The recording process consisted of placing small clay stones at the fulcrum and swinging point, along with a series of microphones. The rhythmic jump of people on the top generated images and sounds of breaks and igneous \u201cawakening.\u201d The movement generates the reverberation of a cavernous sound that, like a great heart, makes the Body and Time vibrate.
The clay stones used for the record are rubbings of rocks from the Punta Tota site in the Tandilia System, where the territory of Argentina was \u201cborn.\u201d The geologist Dalla Salda dated rocks in Balcarce and Namibia and verified the mineral coincidences of the R\u00edo de La Plata craton (formed by Buenos Aires, Entre R\u00edos, Mart\u00edn Garc\u00eda Island, part of Uruguay and Brazil) with the African craton, that is the oldest basements on the planet that were part of the continent of Pangea and Gondwana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
