Let Me Know When You Get Home is an intimate, experimental, and poetic documentary that explores the migratory experience through themes related to memories, territory, and identity.  With an evocative visual narrative, the film follows the story of a Venezuelan migrant in Minnesota, building connections between personal and collective stories.

The documentary reflects on the feeling of belonging and the uncertainty of those who have left their countries searching for a new home. With a combination of documentary images, performative records, and testimonies, the piece captures moments of resilience, nostalgia, and transformation in the lives of migrants.

Produced in 2024 and 5 minutes long, Let Me Know When You Get Home won the Best Super Short Documentary Award of The Alternative Film Festival of Toronto and has been selected at The Minnesota Film Festival, where it will be presented next weekend in Duluth.

This documentary isn’t just a personal testimony but a bridge to a deeper conversation about migration, identity, and the meaning of home in a world in constant movement.
